How can we represent and give justice to the fruitful creative minds of Irish culture?
For me it starts with colour, shapes and texture. An amalgamation of these things with a touch of spontaneity came together to produce this Jackson Pollock-like painting of Seamus Heaney, an Irish poet and playwright. I wanted to capture him deep in introspection, philosophising or processing a creative thought and developing a play or crafting a poem. These precious moments are where creatives ideas begin. Thoughts are captured, collected and developed to form works of art - a slow but incredibly beautiful and intuitive process to witness and portray.
