Hiking in Sligo

Hiking a long the Wild Atlantic Way

Look down over sligo town and watch the entire county extend into the distance as you ascend the mighty Benbulben.

A breath taking hike along the wild atlantic way and one of my favourite things to do in Sligo.

On a clear day the views are magnificent. To the North, across Donegal bay the brutal rock faces of  Slieve League  (The highest sea cliffs in Europe) are illuminated by the southern sunlight. To the south Sligo's towns, villages, forests, and lakes are is framed by the cascading Ox mountains, which act as a boundary to Co. Mayo. An absolutely must if you enjoy hiking and unique beautiful Irish landscapes
