Youth Housing Copenhagen
I worked on this project as part of the design team at Zeso Architects. The project is a new build of 78 youth apartments, won in an open competition in 2010. It consists of a mixture of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, together with common shared facilities and a caretakers office etc.
The new building is constructed as one courtyard block, consisting of three main volumes, connected with access walkways and external staircases. Theres is a basement and technical room under the western block.
The building is between 3-5 levels and has a facade materiality to signal youth apartments, while still responding to the local plan wishes and the energy regulations.
